The Warrington Masonic Group of Lodges and Chapters were pleased to make a donation of £500 to the Warrington Mayor’s charities. At the St George’s night event Andy Barton announced that the proceeds from the evening with an additional contribution from the group meant that £500 would be donated to the Mayor’s chosen charities.

Cllr Faisal Rashid briefly explained his charities which include: ‘Brainwave’ which unlocks children’s potential, ‘St Rocco’s Hospice’ in Warrington which cares for people with life limiting illnesses and their families, ‘Foundation for peace’, ‘The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace’, ‘Warrington Disability Partnership’ which is a voluntary organisation run predominately by disabled people, ‘Warrington YMCA’ which is a local charity looking to help young people with various aspects of their life and ‘Warrington foodbank’.

Cllr Faisal Rashid finished by thanking Andy and the group for their kind donation. He continued by saying that in his time in office as Mayor of Warrington his charities have benefitted by over £50,000 concluding that the Groups donation of £500 was a significant addition to his chosen charities.
