Smiling all the way to the third

Sabar (Sab) Hussain is the latest in a long line of new members to have recently attained the third degree in Freemasonry at Ashmole Lodge No 5128.  The members came from a varied work background consisting of engineers, security specialists, musicians, business owners, surveyors, accountants, sales professionals and several other professions.

Dr Sab Hussain is the principal dentist of a dental practice in Widnes, ‘Saving Faces’ a private dental and facial aesthetics clinic in Liverpool and the ‘Smile Clinic’ in Warrington. He is also a consultant at ‘Spire’ private hospital in Liverpool.  Sab is married to Jacqueline and has two children who are studying at university. His hobbies mostly involve karate in which he has trained for almost 40 years and is a 4th Dan black belt.

Sab was confidently guided through the ceremony by his close friend Tony Chin, who proposed Sab into the lodge, as he was first presented to Eric Miller WM, to answer the usual questions at the start of the ceremony.

The WM was eagerly assisted in the ceremony by Brian Wilson, Mike Williams, Bob Timmis, Derek Houghton, George Heyes, Tony Chin, Peter Lau and Mark Keig all under the direction of Mike Moore DC.  The responses to the ceremony praised the WM, his team on a delightful and sincere ceremony, with congratulations to Sab on attaining his third degree.

The ceremony over and the rest of the business finished in the lodge, the evening continued to the festive board, with friendly chat and banter as the brethren enjoyed a three course meal starting with chicken liver pate with red onion chutney, then a delicious pork chop with stuffed baked apple and roasted shallots followed by a trio of ice cream dessert.

An entertaining reply to the toast of visiting brethren was given by David Hobbs, WM of Birchwood Lodge No 8861.  The evening ended with Eric wishing the brethren a safe journey home and an enjoyable summer over the Masonic recess ready for the next meeting in September
