Jessica returns

Gwilym Jones, the immediate past master of Lodge of Lights No 148, based within the Warrington Group of Lodges and Chapters, during his year in office as WM, was allocated some money to donate to charity. Gwilym selected the Warrington Hospital Neonatal Unit for this financial support and help.

Having been direct beneficiaries of the services the unit offers, particularly for all their care, help and assistance provided to his family following the birth of his granddaughter Jessica, within the first weeks of her delicate life. Gwilym says this choice was easy to make, with his family being directly involved and having benefitted greatly from the very important service the unit so ably offers.

Gwilym said: “Jessica was born just under the weight of a bag of sugar so you can imagine how stressful it was.” He went on to say he was very pleased and honoured to be able to make the presentation and donation of £200, on behalf of the Freemasons of e Lodge of Lights. This was made very special because he was able to be accompanied by Jessica to demonstrate the effectiveness of their services.

He commented that Jessica joined school in September and is now well in front of her peers, a remarkable progress! She has already won three head teacher awards. She is now four years of age, full of energy and vitality, typical of any four-year-old.

Alison thanked Gwilym for the donation and the continued support of Warrington Masons saying the donation would be used for patient purposes.
