Philip (Phil) Unsworth a member of the Lodge of Lights No 148, has recently attained his third degree. The ceremony was expertly undertaken by the lodge members and chaired by Gwilym Jones WM. It was a very sincere and emotional experience for Phil.

Phil is 45 years old with two adult children Daisy aged 23 years and Pip aged 19 years. Phil is a self-employed owner manager of ‘automove car transport’ and owner of ‘zeppelin motor works’. Automove is as its name suggests, Phil will collect and deliver cars from any pickup to any destination. He concentrates mainly on vintage and classic cars for proud owners. Whist the other arm of his business is to build and race cars and hot rods, he has also renovated several classic cars and owns a collection of classic cars and motorcycles.

Phil is one of the drivers in a three car drag racing team called North Dub Alliance (NDA) drag race team. They compete in the Volkswagen Drag Racing Club (VWDRC) and he was the winner of the 2015 NDA drag race challenge.  Phil has competed in many race events across the United Kingdom and on the continent of Europe.

Peter Range confidently guided Phil through the ceremony and completion of the traditional history was very well delivered by George Range. The whole ceremony with Gwilym in the chair and under the direction of Eric Delamere DC ran very smoothly.

An excellent three course meal followed including carrot and coriander soup, gammon steak with pineapple and chipped potatoes and peach melba.

In conclusion it was an excellent night with a very sincere ceremony, excellent company and first class food.
